Whimsical Silver Butterfly Pendants
Silver butterfly pendants can be crafted so many different ways; delicately, abstractly or realistically. What I like about this particular version is its simplicity. Everybody knows what a butterfly looks like- from the rain forest to Alaska there are magnificent versions of this pretty bug. I like the honesty of this sterling silver necklace. There is just enough detail to give it an interesting look, but not so much as to overwhelm. Have you noticed how some artists think they have to load up a design with way too much detail just to get your attention? Sometimes simple really is best.
Sterling silver pendants are one of the loveliest of all jewelry pieces. The selection in this store contains not only butterflies, but cats, dogs, wild animals and even sea mammals. I’d say the designer must really love animals, and probably has a whole menagerie at home! How she finds time to keep creating must be a miracle in itself. On the other hand, maybe she just draws inspiration from other people’s pets. I’m impressed with the realism and the whimsy that are so well combined here.
