Rehab Injuries With Resistance Bands

Resistance bands make a great strength and rehabilitation tool. It is especially helpful in preventing injuries and that is why many physical therapists and personal trainers rely on these bands when faced with clientele that need to build up their conditioning. And it is not only the professional athlete that warrants resistance training. The average man or women benefit from band workouts. Bands make a great alternative to heavy weights. Bands are more convenient too. Take them to a workout.

They easily fit in any workout gym bag. Looking to improve strength in a specific area? Bands can do it. Looking to improve your strength on more major muscle groups? Bands work well here too. Resistance bands are manufactured in various resistance levels.

Squats using the band: Begin by stepping onto the center of the resistance band with both feet shoulder width apart. With both hands hold the resistance band at shoulder level. Now go into a full squat position still holding the band at shoulder height. Repeat.

Alternate lying chest presses is another exercise you can do with the band. Just lie on your back and place the resistance band under your back. Make sure you hold the ends with both hands. Now press one arm up towards the ceiling and then return to the starting position. Repeat.
