Central Oregon Romantic Getaways

After staying a few days in one of the many Portland romantic hotels, it’s time to head east to Central Oregon to continue your getaway.  Central Oregon offers some of the most diverse high desert landscape of any location on the planet.  The geological structures are phenomenal and Oregon is a Mecca for geology students and researchers throughout the world.  From Crater Lake to the Cinder Cones just south of Bend, to the high water level just a few feet below the desert surface, this ‘wild west’ adventure is not only for academics, but for anyone who enjoys the great outdoors. 

Central Oregon romantic getaways may include a stay in the largest city, Bend, but nearby Sisters offers more rugged outdoor allure.  For example, the Five Pine Lodge is an excellent example of rugged exposure with luxury accommodations and five star amenities.  Just south of Bend, Sun River is an upscale golf resort community with impressive luxury homes available for daily, week, or month rentals.  Sun River is also just half an hour from skiing at Mount Bachelor.  In Summer months, fishing, white water rafting, hiking, backpacking, and rock climbing can be part of your next central Oregon romantic getaway.
